Accreditation
Lutheran High School is
fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools
and Colleges (WASC) which granted six-year accreditation
in the spring of 2001. and confirmed that evaluation
in the spring of 2007 throughout 2013. College preparatory
classes offered are approved by the University of California
system. The school is a member of the Lutheran Educators
Conference of the Pacific Southwest District, Lutheran
Church Missouri Synod, and also belongs to the Western
Alliance, ALSS, CIF, CSF and CEEB.
Academic Expectations and Graduation
Requirements
Lutheran High School students
schedule seven courses per year and earn between 260
and 300 units of credit prior to graduation. Five units
are awarded for each successfully completed semester
course. Requirements for graduation total 220 units
in state approved academic high school classes plus
five units in religion for each semester in attendance.
Use of Distance Learning Technology as part of the
Concordia University System Network offersour students
in accelerated tracks the option of earning as many
as 18 college credits while attending Lutheran High
School. Earned credits are transferable to any college
or university in the United States. Lutheran High School
students are required to complete twenty-five Service
Hours (volunteer community service) for each year in
attendance at the school.
